A3 folded to A5 flyers crash folding flyers, as the process of folding a document at least twice, with the final fold being over the previous folds. For instance, if you have a document that’s been crash folded to DL, it means you’ve started with a standard A3 sheet, then folded it in half to A4, and then again to DL.
When it comes to A3 folded to A5 flyers, we often use this technique for printed flyers that need to be printed in A3 for their design, but then need to be made smaller for practical use, such as fitting into DL envelopes. This is common in direct mail and advertising efforts where the goal is to send out flyers in DL envelopes. Crash folding is also a good option for distributing informational or promotional materials in a small, compact form.
Printing Choices
We offer a variety of standard options for printing A3 crash folded to DL.
Size
The original size of an A3 document is (420 x 297mm), and after the folding, the resulting DL size is (99 x 210mm).
Printing
We can print in full color or on both sides.
Fold Type:
First, we’ll fold your printing in half to create four A4-sized panels (two at the front and two at the back). Then, we’ll perform a crash fold (which includes roll fold and z-fold). This will result in a folded flyer with 12 panels (6 on each side).
For roll folding, the document may be folded inwards twice.
For z-folding, the document can be folded twice, with each fold opening on the opposite side, creating a concertina effect.
Paper Types:
We have a selection of popular paper weights, including 115gsm and 150gsm. Additionally, we offer a range of paper stocks, including gloss, matt-satin, and recycled art paper.
